FOX Sports Supports City of Hope

City of Hope named official charity of
2009 NFL season on FOX Sports

City of Hope has been selected by FOX Sports as one of four charities to be featured in FOX Sports Supports, the network’s on-air charitable initiative designed to raise awareness, provide funds and boost volunteerism for health-related charities. Final selection of the charities was determined by a vote of FOX Sports employees.

City of Hope will be featured during FOX Sports’ 2009 National Football League (NFL) season from September 2009 through the playoffs in January 2010.  FOX Sports announced the selection of City of Hope as a FOX Sports Supports charity during the Daytona 500 broadcast on February 15.

As part of the campaign, FOX Sports will provide pre-game and on-air mentions of City of Hope and its mission of rapidly developing new treatments for cancer. FOX Sports will also produce public service announcements (PSAs) featuring NFL players and FOX Sports on-air talent to educate viewing audiences about City of Hope and solicit support for the institution’s lifesaving cancer research and treatment programs. The PSAs will air on FOX news, sports and entertainment stations.

FOX Sports Support’s Web site www.FOXsportssupports.com also will prominently feature City of Hope.
