 National Professional Salon Industry

Photo of Golter GateIn 1981, Jack Stork of Chicagoland Hairdressers Magazine and Sandra Garfield of h•a•i•r internationale, founded the National Professional Salon Industry Council (NPSIC) to establish a continuous flow of industry-supported fundraising events benefiting City of Hope.

The NPSIC established an annual tradition of recognizing and honoring an outstanding leader for his or her contribution to business and community. The Spirit of Life® Award gala not only recognizes an individual for their worthy efforts but also provides an opportunity for the industry as a whole to demonstrate a common concern for public good by supporting City of Hope.
