The National Insurance Industry Council (NIIC) seeks to help save lives all over the world through its partnership with City of Hope.
The council began in 1978 with a group of insurance industry leaders who wanted to make a difference in the battle against cancer. As professionals committed to protecting people’s assets, they saw contributing to lifesaving science as a natural extension of the mission behind their business.

City of Hope’s mission is to cure and prevent cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
Groundbreaking discoveries at City of Hope already have led to treatments that save lives worldwide. City of Hope’s dedication to compassion is spelled out in its credo: “There is no profit in curing the body if, in the process, we destroy the soul.”
With the help of loyal industry volunteers, today City of Hope is poised to make progress like never before.
