 Board of Governors Chapter

Two City of Hope researchers working in the labThe Board of Governors Chapter is a group of philanthropic members who raise funds to assist City of Hope in its effort to eradicate cancer, diabetes, AIDS and other life threatening diseases.

The board, through its Think Tank, also formulates new concepts in the areas of funding and programming which can be used by City of Hope to further its own fundraising efforts.

Presently, aside from its major fundraising efforts, the Board of Governors Chapter underwrites specific scientists and their leading-edge protocols in immunotherapy. This protocol (Immunotherapy) uses the body’s own immune system to fight cancer, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for chemotherapy and radiation.

Additionally, the board underwrites the state-of-the-art laboratory that monitors patients undergoing human clinical trials using the Immunotherapy protocol.
