Biography

Dr. Russell J. Gray received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Southern California. His medical school education was at Meharry Medical College School of Medicine. Dr. Gray completed an internship in Internal Medicine at San Joaquin General Hospital, and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the Los Angeles County Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Gray became a member of the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Division of Anesthesia at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Along with his clinical practice at Good Samaritan, he served as Co-Director and participated in resident training. Dr. Gray practiced at Good Samaritan Hospital for 17 years prior to joining City of Hope. He is board certified in Anesthesiology, and is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anesthesiologists, and the California Society of Anesthesiologists.
