Are you interested in using your experience as a City of Hope patient or family member to benefit others?
City of Hope is looking for patients and families who are eager to create excellent programs and services. We are seeking individuals who have ideas, positive energy and want to have a voice in shaping services for patients and their families. Does that sound like you? If so, we encourage you to apply for membership on City of Hope’s new Patient and Family Advisory Council.
The Patient and Family Advisory Council will tap into the true experts – people like you – to enhance the care experience at City of Hope. The council will meet monthly. Examples of the kinds of projects that the Patient and Family Advisory Council will work on are:
- Developing a new patient orientation program
- Deciding on the content for a revised guide to outpatient services
- Giving feedback on educational materials
- ...and much more!
We invite you to apply for membership on the Patient and Family Advisory Council if you are:
- A current City of Hope patient or family member of a current patient
- 18 years of age or older
- Committed to volunteering at least two hours per month for a one-year period
- Able to see beyond your personal experience and share insights in productive ways
Applications are available from the Department of Patient, Family and Community Education, 626-256-4673, ext. 62682. We will screen applications and invite final candidates to interview.
If you have questions about the Patient and Family Advisory Council, contact Annette Mercurio in Patient, Family and Community Education at ext. 64888 or via e-mail: amercurio@coh.org.
