Radiation oncologists share TomoTherapy expertise abroad

City of Hope radiation oncologists recently presented their experiences with TomoTherapy at a national conference in Taiwan.

Jeffrey Wong, M.D., chair of the Division of Radiation Oncology, physicist An Liu, Ph.D., and Yi-Jen Chen, M.D., clinical assistant professor of radiation oncology, shared their research on advanced radiation therapy techniques at the conference on Sept. 30.

Called the “Future Trend of Radiation Therapy by TomoTherapy” conference, the professional meeting was sponsored by Yuan General Hospital and TomoTherapy Inc. Several Taiwanese radiation oncologists visited City of Hope to learn about TomoTherapy earlier this year, Wong said, and they invited City of Hope radiation oncologists to speak to a wider audience at the conference.
