By Shawn Le

Radio station STAR 98.7 FM recently held its second annual Lounge 4 Life concert at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, Calif., raising more than $25,000 for breast cancer research, treatment and education at City of Hope.

Lounge 4 Life featured musical performers Teddy Geiger, Ray LaMontagne, Jewel and Train. Tickets for the event sold out shortly after they went on sale. Many celebrities attended the event and walked the “Pink Carpet” in support of breast cancer research, including actor Kiefer Sutherland, actress Lindsay Price, ABC Network “Bachelor” Lorenzo Borghese and singer Toby Rand, along with his band, Juke Kartel.

In addition to the concert performances, STAR 98.7 FM hosted an online auction that ran for several weeks after the concert featuring items donated by music artists. Items included autographed guitars from artists such as John Mayer, the Dixie Chicks, Los Lonely Boys and Melissa Etheridge, as well as private concerts by the Goo Goo Dolls and Five for Fighting.
